Students win Fifth Business prize
Outstanding Robert Gordon University students were awarded top prizes at the annual RGU Prize Giving for Communication and Media students. The best 3rd year Corporate Communication and Masters Corporate Communication & Public Affairs students were awarded the prizes which are sponsored by The Fifth Business. Enda Logan, CEO of The Fifth Business presented the two prestigious awards at the prize giving.
The Fifth Business has been sponsoring the awards for 5 years and is a big contributor to the success of students from RGU, as the company regularly recruits placement students from a number of different courses. The best third year Corporate Communication prize was awarded to Elizabeth Stevenson. The best Masters Corporate Communication and Public Affairs prizes were awarded to Gabriela Whitehead and Joanna McDonald. All students were selected by a panel from the Business School for the award, as they excelled academically throughout the duration of their courses.
Enda Logan, CEO of The Fifth Business was delighted to be a part of the day:
"We have had a long association with RGU's undergraduate programme, providing placements and doing guest lectures over many years – establishing the award was an affirmation of our respect for the institution and an acknowledgement that some of our best recruits have come directly from this programme. Communications is now recognised as an essential functional support to any organisation in this era of endless change – I look forward to finding new stars from RGU for our international assignment portfolio.
"The Master programme comprises experienced individuals who are either at a crossroads in their career – or trying to achieve a new standard of excellence in the profession we practice. This year we had several post-graduate placements working closely with us on useful initiatives that help us on our own journey - and I am delighted to see several of those individuals winning multiple awards this year. Congratulations to all the winners and I look forward to maintaining a long and fruitful relationship with RGU."
