The Bronze Quill Awards is an annual awards program hosted by IABC/Houston. This is a competition for communication professionals and is open to IABC members and non-members. To name a few requirements, The Fifth Business had to create a work plan, which included an objective, an audience and a measurement. All entries were judged in 27 categories recognising excellence in communication management, communication skills and communication creativity. The entries were judged by a jury of peers throughout the United States and Canada – our entry in particular was judged by Kansas City.

The Communicator Awards is the leading international creative awards program honoring creative excellence for communications professionals. The annual competition honors the best in advertising, corporate communications, public relations, and identity work for print, video, and audio. The awards program is judged and overseen by IAVA, an invitation-only member-based organisation of leading professionals from various disciplines of the visual arts.

The Deloitte & Touche Technology Fast 50 programme is designed to recognize, reward and raise the profile of the UK's fastest growing companies. Each year Deloitte and Touche award and publish the top 50 fastest growing companies in the UK, categorised by region. In 2000, it was announced that The Fifth Business was the 9th fastest growing organisation in Scotland (top 35th in the entire country with a 435% growth).
